Fingerling Potatoes

I planted my fingerling potatoes today.  I have already planted my red potatoes and Yukon Gold potatoes, because I had already divided them before I realized it was technically too early to plant potatoes.  Hopefully they won't get killed by a late freeze!

For the fingerlings, I first dug a three inch gully, and spaced the potatoes out along the rows.

Here they potatoes are, all snug in there bed :o)
I then dug a three (or so) inch hole under each potato, dropped it in, and filled it with the reserved dirt.  Once the sprouts come up, I will use the dirt between the rows to fill in the plants.

Based on the plant date, these guys should be coming up around mid March.
