I started this blog ten years ago with this quote "Gardening is something I enjoy, but not something I am good at. So, in the vein of, it is all a learning experience, I have started this blog in the hopes that in, say, ten years or so, I may have actually learned something. :o)" Ten years later and I have learned so much. My gardens bring me so much joy. I still have much more to learn, but I no longer feel as though I have two black thumbs... so i guess this blog worked :)

I think we've made it through the cold!
Very cold temps, heavy rains and now a warming. I think we've made it through winter. The peach trees are just starting to put out pink buds. This early bloomer is already starting to look a bit like a flower!
The Cherry Laurels that we planted a few years are showing tiny white flowers. These shrubs have done so well for us. We used them to create a hedge to hide our trash cans from the street. They are now over eight feet tall, and desperately need a trim up high.
Even the bare root plum tree seems to be alive and well!
